Menorca reviews

  • "Travel to Sardinia with a dog."

We travelled to and from Sardinia booking with direct ferries and sailing with Corsica Ferries. These are big ferries and very busy. The staff get you to your space on the ship very quickly and from there to your cabin. It helps if you are organised and at your car ready to go on the boat and park as instructed. The turn around is very quick even more so if there has been a delay due to the weather. If you have a dog friendly cabin you go with your dog straight up to the deck and are met at the deck by staff who then take you to your cabin. Be patient there are a lot of people on the boat and they can't get to everyone immediately. The cabins are clean and have a shower with lots of hot water. There is shower gel and soap but no drinking glasses and towels too. They do have a deck where you take your dog to the loo if necessary. On the way back the ferry port at Portes Torres is much smaller and so there is little waiting space. Once you have been checked onto the dock there are no toilets and you have to go back out with your ticket to small bar. There are not many restaurants but we did find a Pizza restaurant in a small courtyard that did takeaways. Again, be back at your car in good time. There were a few people were not back at their cars and so caused queues. A very efficient ferry but you have to do your bit too.
